'''''Honkai Impact 3rd''''' is a free-to-play mobile game with Hack'n Slash and role-playing elements produced by Chinese developer [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiHoYo miHoYo/HoYoverse]. The world in Honkai Impact 3rd is based on the alternative version of Earth, plagued by catastrophes resulting from "Honkai". Honkai is largely viewed as a malevolent force with a will of its own, able to corrupt humans into undead creatures, manifest itself in the form of various monsters, and select various individuals known as "Herrschers" to imbue them with god-like powers able to trigger apocalyptic events. The Honkai is a cyclic phenomenon, returning to end civilization on Earth each time it gets too advanced - the Previous Era ended 50,000 years prior to the game's start, after the 14th Herrscher defeated humanity.

Honkai Impact 3rd was released in China on the 14th of October 2016, in South East Asia on the 1st of November 2017, and globally on the 28th of March later that year. Because of this, the Honkai r/place community did not have a presence in the r/place 2017 canvas. The community is also a member group of the [[Gacha Alliance]].

Sirin Derp is the first project initiated by the Honkai community by the user u/ZrikerV in the Honkai subreddit. It was made as a parody to the inside joke within the community. Situated next to Codec image of Solid Snake from MGS series. The project took very long time to finish due to not many people help to finish it at that time.

Sirin survived multiple small crossfire by unknown parties. In the third day of r/place, a Twitch streamer called Tradi3 tried to invade Sirin Derp to replace it with his face but quickly repelled with the combine forces of the Honkai community and Gacha Alliance. It survived till the end of the canvas.

In a collaboration with multiple other gacha game communities in the Gacha Alliance, Honkai Impact 3rd created its icon alongside the r/place communities of Girls' Frontline, Guardian Tales, Arknights, Genshin Impact, Project SEKAI,  Fate/Grand Order and eventually Guardian Tales, PGR, D4DJ, Dragalia Lost, Fire Emblem Heroes, iDOLMASTER, Princess Connect, Touhou Lost World, Uma Musume, Azur Lane, Twisted Wonderland, Tears of Themis, and Poland Ball. With the addition of Uma Musume icon, S-chip currency from Tears of Themis and the magical pen from Twisted Wonderland overlapping parts of the Honkai icon as well as part of the Genshin icon.
