Overview[edit]

Territorial.io is a browser io game founded by David Tsatcher.[1] In the game, you control a country that tries to take over a map with other players and bots. It has a thriving discord of over 15,000 members.[2][3]

r/place Discussion[edit]

Making a logo on r/place was first discussed on March 31, the day before place started. However, it was agreed upon that bigger communities would not leave any space, and so there would be no logo on the canvas. However, when the canvas doubled on April 2, it was decided it was possible to create a logo.

Logos[edit]

There were many different proposed logos, which got progressively smaller as time went on.

The first proposed logo.
The furthest progress made.

The first logo was a 30x30 logo, when many people from the community were active. It was planned to be produced at 1454,117 (top left corner). Progress was good, but it overlapped with another community[4][5][6], and after a halfhearted move was agreed upon, the logo as well as morale died out after a second community went over the new area.[7][8]
