Southern Rhode Island Institute of the Arts (SRIIOTA) was created in February of 2021 with the purpose of misleading a moderator of the r/ApplyingToCollege subreddit into believing it was a real school. With the first draft of the website created in approximately three hours on the ApplyingToCollege Discord server, the school became a hit within the community.
